Port Victoria is situated on the west coast of Yorke Peninsula. The Yorke Peninsula boasts 600km of coastline, with some of the best, cleanest and emptiest beaches in South Australia.

On the Peninsula you are never more than 30kms from the sea. While journeying inland you are met with rolling pastures and fields of golden barley and wheat.

Many towns are scattered over the Peninsula and all having their own uniqueness and history.

Relive the past by visiting museums and various displays of local heritage and historical relics. Many antique shops and art and craft galleries are to be found around the area.

Port Victoria Maritime MuseumThe Port Victoria Maritime Museum (pictured left) has a wealth of information, relics and memorabilia of a bygone era and hundreds of photos of past history are on display.
A 5km foreshore Geology trail is well marked and provides a fascinating insight
to the geological formation of the area.


Beautiful sunsets are a constant feature at the Gulfhaven Caravan Park The jetty at Port Victoria offers great fishing, swimming and diving facilities. It was constructed in 1888, and at over 112 years old, is one of the oldest original jetties in Australia.

A Fishing Charter facility is available in the area.

For Scuba divers there is eight shipwrecks to be explored along the Wardang Island maritime heritage trail.
